DorPIP Wins AiMH-Together Award 2024 for Outstanding Contribution to Infant Mental Health

We are thrilled to announce that DorPIP has been awarded the AiMH-Together Award 2024, recognising our team’s dedication to collaborative and creative efforts in improving infant mental health outcomes for babies in our community.

Founded in 2017 by Viv Allen, DorPIP has empowered over 1,000 parents, supporting strong parent-infant relationships during the critical first 1,001 days. Through partnerships with the NHS, local authorities, and charities, we provide vital mental health resources, support services, and community connections for vulnerable families.

Our commitment to workforce development has seen us train over 150 health professionals, while our advocacy efforts—through initiatives like the Building Brighter Futures conference—continue to shape public policies that prioritise babies’ emotional wellbeing. Expanding to six locations, DorPIP has strengthened service accessibility and contributed to better service mapping for infant mental health support.

The AiMH-Together Award is presented by The Association for Infant Mental Health (AiMH UK), a national organisation dedicated to promoting the understanding and importance of early relationships in infant mental health. AiMH UK brings together professionals from various disciplines to champion best practices, training, and policies that support babies' emotional wellbeing. Their work is instrumental in shaping national conversations and services for the youngest and most vulnerable members of society.

This award reflects our baby-focused mission, aligning with AiMH UK’s vision to ensure every baby gets the best start in life. An AiMH representative said, “We are thrilled that this team have won the AiMH – Together Award.” We are immensely proud of our team and grateful to our partners and supporters who make this work possible.

Together, we are making a lasting impact on families and the future generation.
