We are recruiting Fundraising and Events Volunteers

  • We ask for a minimum commitment of 2-3 hours per week, due to the nature of the postition a flexible approach will be required and may include evenings and weekends. This voluntary role is based from home but you must have the ability to travel to events around Dorset.

  • We ask that you can commit to a minimum of 6 months in this voluntary position. This is an unpaid voluntary position. We will refund reasonable out ofpocket expenses incurred as a result of your volunteering activity.

Fundraising and Events Volunteer Description

As a Fundraising and Events Volunteer, you'll be at the forefront of transforming the lives of parents and infants through your fundraising expertise. Your role will encompass a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at driving our mission of promoting infant-mental health and enhancing parent-infant relationships.  

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create compelling campaigns and materials that effectively communicate the importance of infant mental health and parent-infant relationships. 

  • Take reponsibility for planning, managing and delivering community events.

  • Using Analytics to effectively monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives, tracking progress against targets, and adjusting, as necessary. 

  • Maintaining accurate records of donors, sponsors, and fundraising activities using appropriate databases and systems. 

Ideally you will …

  • Have a passion for community fundraising with an ability to organise and manage events. 

  • Have an understanding of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices. 

  • Can handle complex projects whilst staying organised with the ability to meet deadlines.  

  • Can adapt to changing circumstances and navigate challenges creatively in the pursuit of fundraising goals. 

  • Have a resourceful approach coupled with an excellent friendly written and verbal communication skills that will help building meaningful relationships and create compelling content that resonates with donors, sponsors, and the public. 

  • Are a dedicated team player, who enjoys working in a collaborative setting as well as independently when required. 

  • Will be genuinely passionate about DorPIP’s mission in supporting parent-infant relationships, demonstrated through previous involvement, interest in related initiatives or through your own lived experience.
