Part-Time, Flexible Working 10 hours per week with a fixed-Term Contract until 31 March 2026.
Due to the varied nature of the duties, a flexible approach will be required which may on occasion, include evenings and weekends. Time off in lieu may be taken following agreement of the line manager. Please feel free todiscuss any flexible working requests at interview.
This post is based from home, with travel across localities within Dorset County Council area.

Job Description
As a PCP Co-ordinator Parent Carer Panel (PCP) Coordinator you will create and support a safe, inclusive space where parent carers can come together, share their experiences, and influence local services. By coordinating regular panel events, providing training and mentorship, and building trusted relationships, the role aims to empower parent carers to take on leadership roles and advocate for lasting change within their communities.
You will work closely with the DorPIP, Dorset Council and the VCSE in Dorset to collect data, communicate outcomes, and promote the forum's impact. This includes keeping accurate records, maintaining clear communication across accessible digital platforms, and contributing to project reports.

Main Responsibilities
Plan, organise, and facilitate Parent Carer Panel events.
Manage venue bookings, refreshments, and necessary equipment.
Collect and manage data, attendance records, and registration forms.
Coordinate and promote accessible training opportunities, including online
sessions.
Recruit diverse and inclusive parent carer representation for the panel.
Build strong, trusting relationships with participants.
Encourage and support parent carers to take on leadership roles.
Develop and deliver training sessions for parent carers.
Signpost to additional resources to support skill-building and confidence.
Mentor parent carers to effectively represent their views and attend meetings.
Maintain regular communication through accessible digital platforms (e.g.,
WhatsApp).
Provide regular updates and outcome reports to DorPIP and funders.
Work collaboratively with the admin team on marketing and report
preparation.
Empower parent carers to take ownership of the forum.
Identify and nurture emerging leaders within the group to ensure long-term
impact
Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed
Experience in group facilitation, community engagement, or similar roles
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence using digital tools (e.g. WhatsApp, Zoom, email)
Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends
Experience working with parent carers or in family support settings
(desirable)
Knowledge of how to build inclusive, welcoming environments
Skills in mentoring, coaching, or empowering others (desirable)
An appreciation of infant mental health and the importance of early
relationships.
Familiarity with co-production and co-design principles.
